Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
This policy describes how QuickVM, LLC ("QuickVM", "we", "us") collects and uses information when you visit quickvm.com, join our mailing list, or use the QuickVM platform (the "Service"). Questions: support@quickvm.com.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Name, email address, and a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash), plus team names and memberships.
- Billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store full payment card numbers. We keep billing records — plan, amounts, invoices, and your billing email — in our self-hosted billing system.
- Service content. The configurations, variables, and provider credentials you store in the platform. Values the platform designates as sensitive (such as provider credentials and team variables) are encrypted at rest. Be deliberate about what secrets you place in configurations.
- Operational data. Logs, metrics, IP addresses, and metadata about your virtual machines and API requests, kept to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.
- Mailing list. If you subscribe on quickvm.com, we collect your email address and optional name.
2. How we use it
- To provide, operate, and secure the Service, including provisioning and managing your virtual machines.
- To bill you and maintain required financial records.
- To send transactional email — things like email verification, team invitations, and payment notices.
- To send our newsletter, only if you subscribed; every message includes an unsubscribe link.
- To investigate abuse, enforce our Acceptable Use Policy, and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.
3. Analytics and cookies
- quickvm.com uses Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service that does not build visitor profiles.
- Our signup and subscription forms use hCaptcha to prevent abuse; hCaptcha may process technical data (such as IP address) and set cookies for that purpose.
- The platform sets an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only what they need:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- hCaptcha (Intuition Machines) — abuse prevention on forms.
- Fathom Analytics — aggregate, cookieless site analytics.
- Email delivery providers — to deliver transactional email and, if you subscribed, the newsletter.
We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect the rights, safety, or property of QuickVM, our customers, or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred data).
5. Where data lives
QuickVM operates its own infrastructure in the United States, and our service providers are U.S.-based or process data in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information is processed in the U.S.
6. Retention
- Account and service data: for as long as your account is active. After account closure, content is deleted following a 30-day grace period.
- Billing records: as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
- Logs and operational data: for a limited period appropriate to security and troubleshooting.
- Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account information in the platform, and unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any issue.
- You can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information by emailing support@quickvm.com. We will respond consistent with applicable law, and may need to retain some records (for example, invoices) where the law requires it.
8. Security
We use TLS for data in transit, encrypt sensitive fields at rest, and store passwords only as modern cryptographic hashes. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. For material changes we will give notice by email or through the Service before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
